Reflections on regen potluck

Last Tuesday, we gathered at the MycoCosm for another regenerative networking potluck. We had the good fortune of having folks representing many local organizations focused on regeneration including the BoCo Climate Justice Hive, Earth Love Gardens, and Friends Farm. This continues to be a space that fosters meaningful relationships in the regeneration world in Boulder, as well as gives a context for us to explore other ways to build community in relationship to life in Boulder. On that note, a great way to stay connected to meaningful events in that space is via the Hive's boulder.earth calendar!

Building trust - next inquiry evening

Recently, I watched the documentary "The Village of Lovers" with a small group of friends. This film documents the story and the culture of Tamera, a community in Portugal adopting a unique approach to navigating intimacy and relationships. Most of our conversations after watching this revolved around trust, and what it takes to build real trust to enable us to live together in a more connected way. And in a totally different sphere, I spent most of last week at a conference called EthDenver, revolving around blockchain and distributed technology. And what I found is that this same essential conversation was present there; exploring what trust means and how we build it.

It seems that any conversation about community and intimacy, or about novel approaches to connectivity in technology and society, is going to require us to understand trust and how it is built. So, this week Woven Web will be hosting an inquiry event around just this topic. We want to explore how trust is built, in ourselves and in our relationships, and to get there, we're going to come together around a central question of "What is trust?". Join us this Thursday (3/7) at 530pm at MycoCafe!

Coming up in the community

Tomorrow (Tuesday 3/5) is community practice day with Naropa at the Nalanda campus. This is open to all members of the community, whether you're affiliated with Naropa or not and is an amazing way to connect with the community and to deepen your practice. Our friends at the Hive will be offering a workshop from 315-430pm, "A Dharma of Solidarity: Finding my Role in the Collective Movement".

If you're interested in deepening your practice further, you might like to attend the Dragon Lake Zen community practice this coming Sunday (3/10) at 9am. It's a beautiful zen community that is attended by a number of folks from Woven Web.

Next Thursday (3/14) at the MycoCosm, we will be hosting our next Synergizing Systems meetup. Carrying with the energy from EthDenver, we're going to be exploring the future of the internet, looking at technologies for distributed computing, mapping trust, and more. If you have a topic you'd like to present on, let us know!

Thanks for tuning in. Reply to this email and let us know what you’re thinking and how you’d like to engage with community. And forward this email to someone who you’d like to participate more in community with!

See you in the web,
