Webs within Webs

“The basic pattern of life is a network. Whenever you see life, you see networks. The whole planet, what we can term ‘Gaia’ is a network of processes involving feedback tubes. Humans are part of the larger whole, Gaia.” - Fritjof Capra

Understanding networks is crucial to understanding life, as Capra here articulates. And if we are interested in fostering a more connected world rooted in a deeper understanding of life, then it’s vital that we start looking at how these networks, or these webs, are woven together, and how we can participate in that weaving more effectively.

Last Friday, we came together with a great group of humans for our monthly “Mingle & Moments” event that we co-host with a few other great organizations, to network together and discuss what it looks like to do work differently, in a more connected way, and with more creativity and soul. It was a very enriching conversation for all. These kind of events, that bring communities together, not just to network, but to actually get to know each other and have a real dialogue, seems to be essential for a well woven community; and we’re excited to continue participating in more of them. It also feels very meaningful for these events to be hosted in collaboration between multiple organizations.

Over the next few months for Woven Web, we’re looking forward to being in collaboration with other organizations to support more regular connected conversations like this; in fields such as psychedelics, technology, regeneration, and more. And we’re also looking forward to opening up some spaces again that support more connection between the different spaces. Weaving webs within webs.

We’d love to hear from you. What webs do you regularly participate in that you’d like to see further integrated into the wider web?
And if you haven’t already, we’d love for you to fill out this form so we can get a sense for who’s reading this newsletter and how you’d like to be engaged.
